Exploring the color and freshness watercolor makes possible, I create realistic paintings inspired by the unique, colorful landscapes of the southwest. I began working in watercolor in 2007. My award-winning paintings have been juried into local shows in Tucson, as well as into the Western Federation of Watercolor Guild’s 35th Annual Exhibition in 2010.
I am a signature member of the Southern Arizona Watercolor Guild. A long-time resident of Tucson, I earned a BFA from the University of Arizona, where I focused on drawing and printmaking. I also studied at the Dayton Art Institute and the Maryland Institute of Art. Now winding down from a career in engineering graphics, I enjoy painting regularly with a group of watercolor artists.
